“Vision therapy has helped me in a lot of ways. When I started vision therapy, my peripheral vision wasn’t good. Melody, my therapist helped me learn how to use my peripheral vision. When I practiced with the Marsden ball I started seeing with my peripheral vision at the same time. I used to get double vision and headaches often while reading, but after doing a lot of polarized flipper reading, I can read as long as I want and not get any double vision or headaches.
Looking at screens used to hurt my eyes and make them feel tired. After vision therapy, I still try to limit my screen time, but the time I spend on screens doesn’t hurt my eyes or tire them out. Before vision therapy seeing things from a distance was hard, for example playing volleyball, spikeball, and basketball was difficult, because I couldn’t see the ball and the net very well. After doing a lot of fusion cards and red and green letter Hart Chart, it became easier to see small objects even if they are far away. The therapists were very patient and kind with me in making progress, I am very thankful for all they did for me.”
