Susan Thurnau – Financial Coordinator

Home Susan Thurnau – Financial Coordinator

Susan Thurnau attended Central Washington University where she got a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science with a minor in Athletic Training.  After working for three years at Washington Vision Therapy Center Susan went back to school and received her master’s degree in Orientation and Mobility from Salus University in Philadelphia.  She now works within the school districts surrounding Yakima helping students who are blind or who have visual impairments learn to orient to their space and develop safe and efficient travel skills.  She trains students on how to use a white cane or other tools to help them move through their environment safely.  When she is not working Susan loves hiking, camping, and spending time with her family.
